Is an aneurysm of this size in the lower abdomen a serious problem for a male of 58 years old when considering him for a transplant ?. The man had an unsuccessful bypass 2 years ago and has his aneurysm was discovered shortly after.
Deemed to weak to undergo surgey for the aneurysm first.
Any opinions on how to tackle this ?

Dear Cardiovascular Surgeons, If you wouldn't mind taking a moment to let me know which university/ies in the USA would be the best for education in cardiovascular surgery, I would most appreciate it. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, Kathi O'Brien-LaBayen seasant@aol.com

I will consider the patient for heart transplant. The size of the AAA is not a surgical indication because the diameter less than 5.5. cms.
